Sr Principal Network Engineer (Juniper)

Location: Remote/Teleworker in the United States; up to 10% travel to customer sites required. Salary information is specified for California.

Salary: USD 153,500–310,500 annual base salary in California, with possible variable incentives.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for data center networking products and support customer network design, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, best practices, and automation.
• Provide primary technical support for break/fix incidents and restore production services using advanced diagnostics.
• Advise customers on Junos configurations and network architecture.
• Test and certify Junos and Junos EVO software features and associated hardware.
• Review designs and projects for compliance with engineering standards and contribute technical leadership to cross-organizational programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with internal teams and outsourced development partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 10+ years of experience in data center routing, switching, and network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with HPE Juniper QFX, PTX, MX, and EX series products.
• Ability to develop test automation and write Python scripts.
• Expert-level certification such as JNCIE or CCIE is required.
• Excellent written and verbal English and local-language communication skills are required.
