Sr. Director Engineering (Treasury Domain Area)

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid)

Annual base salary: PLN 531,100–671,650, with potential variable compensation and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Define and execute the multi-year engineering strategy across cash management, liquidity, payments, and bank connectivity.
• Modernize legacy capabilities into modular, API-first, event-driven services while maintaining business continuity.
• Lead autonomous, cross-functional squads and establish predictable delivery, release automation, and production reliability practices.
• Embed AI-driven capabilities into forecasting, anomaly detection, real-time payment monitoring, and executive decision support.
• Build, mentor, and retain engineering managers, architects, principal engineers, and other engineering talent in Warsaw and remote locations.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security, and Customer Operations on execution and organizational change.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading multi-squad engineering organizations in SaaS, fintech, payments, treasury, or ERP.
• Deep knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, banking integrations, or financial risk controls.
• Hands-on expertise in distributed systems, modern API architectures, event-driven designs, and legacy cloud migrations.
• Strong strategic planning skills and the ability to manage delivery, technical debt, performance, and platformization trade-offs.
• Fluent English communication for executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Warsaw, Poland.
