Vice President Software Engineering (Regulatory Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead technical project discussions, architecture, design, development, and testing for regulatory engineering platforms.
• Build secure, maintainable, and highly available systems using approved engineering practices.
• Partner with global technology, strategy, and business teams to deliver solutions for regulatory obligations.
• Lead large-scale platform and workflow modernization as systems move from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-native environments.
• Analyze performance metrics, optimize initiatives, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Guide engineers, define development standards, and enforce best practices across projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing real-time distributed processing systems and event-processing architectures.
• Experience with large-scale migrations to cloud-based Lakehouse environments, preferably AWS, and with near-real-time transactional systems using NoSQL technologies such as Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, managed services, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building secure, highly available, and scalable systems in large enterprise organizations.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java, with experience developing, testing, and maintaining production-ready code.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Technical Lead in cloud-native development or platform engineering.
• Experience designing AI-first interfaces with generative features, streaming LLM responses, and Model Context Protocol.
• Experience assessing AI/ML systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience designing multi-agent systems with LangGraph or CrewAI and BPMN-driven autonomous decision-making.
