Senior Design System Designer

Location: Remote in Spain

What you will do

• Design and evolve reusable components, patterns, foundations, and tokens for design systems serving real estate products across web and app.
• Define component behavior, states, variants, edge cases, and usage guidance in collaboration with engineers.
• Run and improve the contribution model so product teams can propose, adopt, and ship components without fragmenting the system.
• Support product design from problem framing through research, documentation, specifications, and handover.
• Resolve conflicts between local product needs and long-term system coherence while helping teams strengthen systems thinking.
• Use AI-assisted tools for research, prototyping, and component definition, and structure the system for AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and maintaining a design system at scale, with evidence of shipped impact.
• Experience with Figma component libraries, variables, tokens, and coded or built prototypes.
• Strong technical fluency and experience collaborating with engineers as a peer to deliver scalable outcomes.
• Experience running or contributing to a contribution model, or a clear approach to building one.
• Strong communication and judgment when balancing consistency, exceptions, and stakeholder needs.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted design or development workflows.
