Senior Business Analyst - Broking

Location: Primarily home-based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to London for customer meetings and peer gatherings

What you will do

• Advise stakeholders on product capabilities, limitations, and opportunities for customer solutions.
• Facilitate customer meetings to gather requirements, document needs, and explore potential solutions.
• Define business and functional requirements for new products, modules, features, and change requests.
• Act as an intermediary between customers and internal development, testing, and support teams.
• Lead or participate in solution design reviews, system testing, and the transition of projects into support.
• Support customer and internal teams with broking system issues and solution implementation.

Requirements

• Significant knowledge of London insurance wholesale broking processes, including pre-bind, policy, claims, treaty, and technical IBA.
• Awareness of London Market initiatives, including Future of Lloyd’s, Blueprint II, e-invoicing, FCP, and their impact on broking systems.
• Experience working with an insurance software vendor, insurance broker, or underwriter on product implementations and functional direction.
• Practical experience with at least one computer-based insurance broking system.
• Strong presentation, demonstration, requirements analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage challenging customer issues, work to tight timelines, and travel to London when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GLOBAL XB, Brokasure Enterprise, or Brokasure Desktop.
• Knowledge of messaging flows between broking systems within the London Market.
• Experience implementing insurance or reinsurance software packages and using formal analysis methodologies.
• Insurance industry qualification such as A.C.I.I.
• Knowledge of relational data analysis and insurance business process design.
