Senior Business Analyst (Public Services)

Location: Any UK office hub: Bristol, London, Manchester, or Swansea. Part-time remote working is available for staff. Successful candidates must be eligible for SC security clearance, which requires 5 years of continuous UK residency.

Salary: £52,000–£62,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead business analysis from discovery through implementation, investigating problems, operational needs, and opportunities for improvement.
• Elicit, analyse, prioritise, and manage business and user requirements with clear traceability to delivered functionality.
• Evaluate solution options and feasibility, communicating benefits, impacts, risks, constraints, and trade-offs.
• Model business processes, systems, and data to clarify current and future states.
• Facilitate collaboration between multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, agreeing success measures and acceptance criteria.
• Define testing and validation approaches and contribute to the Business Analysis Community of Practice through coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

• Substantial experience as a Business Analyst, independently leading analysis from discovery through implementation.
• Expertise in complex problem analysis, requirements definition and management, traceability, and business process and systems analysis.
• Ability to advise and influence stakeholders, build consensus, and communicate complex information clearly to different audiences.
• Experience with Agile and iterative delivery, business performance improvement, usability testing, and solution evaluation.
• Experience working in or with the UK public sector, including familiarity with the GDS Service Standard and user-centred design principles.
• Eligibility for SC security clearance, including 5 years of continuous UK residency, is required.

• Experience contributing to business analysis standards, methods, templates, or guidance.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other analysts.
