Senior Technical Programme Manager (Quantum Systems Infrastructure)

Location: Oxford, England, United Kingdom; flexible hybrid working. Travel as needed.

What you will do

• Own programme execution across Quantum Systems Infrastructure delivery streams.
• Translate roadmaps into plans, milestones, backlogs, and predictable delivery.
• Run programme ceremonies, workflows, intake, and triage processes.
• Coordinate dependencies, risks, priorities, and trade-offs across engineering, PMO, product, and science teams.
• Build reporting cadences including changelogs, demos, and leadership summaries.
• Harmonise programme processes with Software and Science technical programme teams.

Requirements

• Prior experience running technical programmes across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience in infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering environments.
• Fluency with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and modern programme tooling.
• Strong plain-English communication for translating technical progress, risks, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams across sites and time zones in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to drive change, unblock teams, and maintain lightweight processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware-adjacent software, laboratories, manufacturing, robotics, or scientific instruments.
• Exposure to regulated or government-customer delivery.
• Agile coaching or Scrum Master experience.
• Working knowledge of quantum computing concepts.
