Director of Technical Programme Management (Fintech)

Location: hirify.global UK; hybrid working with office attendance on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and remote working on Tuesday and Friday

What you will do

• Lead complex, business-critical technical programmes across multiple teams, systems, and functions.
• Translate company and technology priorities into outcomes, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
• Bring structure and clear decisions to ambiguous technical and delivery challenges.
• Provide visibility into delivery progress, risks, priorities, trade-offs, and required leadership decisions.
• Build and lead a high-performing TPM team and develop a high-trust, accountable delivery culture.
• Strengthen collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Architecture while promoting data-driven delivery improvement.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading complex technical programmes and TPM teams in a high-growth technology environment.
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous strategic priorities into successful delivery across multiple teams.
• Strong technical fluency and credibility when working with senior engineers and architects.
• Experience influencing senior business and technology leaders, facilitating difficult trade-offs, and making decisions with imperfect information.
• Track record of building, managing, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level communication, with a data-driven approach to organisational performance.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated environment.
• Experience embedding compliance into delivery from the beginning.
• Strong interest in applying AI and automation to modern technology organisations.
