Lead Deployed AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Leeds, hybrid

Salary: £80,000–£100,000 per annum

hirify.global delivers complex technology transformation and is developing an AI-native consultancy with an internal AI platform and a growing client pipeline.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical execution of client engagements, including scoping, system design, building, and rollout.
• Build AI-powered client solutions using RAG pipelines, agent architectures, LLM integrations, and protocol-driven tooling.
• Contribute to the development of the internal AI platform and delivery-acceleration tooling.
• Deploy prototypes and MVPs inside client environments using real data and client security models.
• Convert field-tested solutions into accelerators, templates, and playbooks.
• Support AI knowledge-sharing and pragmatic adoption across engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundations, including clean code, testing, CI/CD, and a production mindset.
• Hands-on LLM experience with API integrations, prompt engineering, agent workflows, or RAG systems; personal projects are accepted.
• Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages.
• Awareness of evolving AI tooling and protocols such as MCP and A2A.
• Consultancy or client-facing experience, or a strong interest in moving into client-facing work.
• Ability to work in the Leeds hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or fine-tuning.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Open-source contributions or visible AI side projects.
• Experience shipping AI-powered features to production.
