Fiber Deployment Engineer (AI)

Location: EMEA, Ireland, Norway, and the UK; onsite work with extensive travel across EMEA and the Nordics, approximately 50–75%+ of the time

What you will do

• Coordinate internal teams, third-party vendors, and low-voltage partners involved in data center infrastructure and fiber deployment.
• Lead onsite fiber deployment activities for one or more data center sites across EMEA and the Nordics.
• Drive delivery milestones, ownership, dependencies, risk mitigation, escalation paths, and executive decisions.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, QA/QC oversight, progress reporting, and executive communications.
• Partner with AI, data center development, design and construction, engineering, power and utilities, network, and operations teams.
• Develop playbooks, templates, reviews, and coaching practices to scale deployment solutions across programs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience driving fiber or GPU deployments in large-scale infrastructure or physical deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, distributed systems, and networking concepts.
• Experience in network operations, data center operations, deployment, or network scaling functions.
• Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical services in a hyperscale or public cloud environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites regularly, approximately 50–75%+ of the time.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience across the end-to-end data center lifecycle, including site development, power, utilities, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, network, security, and operations handoff.
• Familiarity with data center power infrastructure, substations, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, and MEP dependencies.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI, Tableau, or similar delivery tools.
• Experience establishing or scaling program delivery operating models in high-growth infrastructure organizations.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.
