Software Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid work with in-office and in-person expectations

What you will do

• Develop, test, automate, and deploy managed cloud services and production features.
• Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system health, availability, latency, performance, and reliability, implementing improvements where needed.
• Manage production incidents, troubleshoot outages, prepare customer root-cause analyses, and support bug fixes and specification updates.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations every other week and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs and SLOs.
• Work Wednesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang, plus scripting and infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
• Thorough understanding of Linux or other Unix-like operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and REST API design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as containers, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
• Understanding of distributed systems, SDLC, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with filesystem development and distributed system design is desirable.
