TL;DR

Design Engineer (Compressor Design): Developing new compressor products and optimizing mechanical designs for cost, reliability, manufacturability, and customer requirements with an accent on component qualification, mechanical analysis, and refrigeration technology. Focus on creating manufacturable concepts, applying DFMEA and PFMEA, calculating loads and material strength, and supporting continuous product improvements.

What you will do

Develop new compressor products and create concepts that meet program requirements and manufacturability targets.
Own compressor structural design, component qualification, layout, and tooling customization.
Perform load, force, static, dynamic, and material-strength calculations to optimize product designs.
Research product trends and improve cost, system performance, reliability, and manufacturing usability.
Work with manufacturing engineers to identify and mitigate risks through DFMEA and PFMEA.
Maintain products after launch, document technical and project learnings, and support continuous improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Three years of mechanical engineering design experience with a bachelor’s degree, or fresh experience with a Master of Science degree.
Proven technical knowledge of mechanical design, including component design optimization and material-strength calculations.
Familiarity with GD&T.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

Experience with compressor design.
Background knowledge of refrigeration systems.
