Senior Data Architect

Location: Hybrid work in Athens, Limassol, or Nicosia

What you will do

• Define the strategic vision, governance model, and long-term evolution of enterprise data architecture.
• Oversee platform selection, technical design, data modeling, and delivery of critical modernization programs.
• Establish architecture standards, lead technical reviews, and maintain version-controlled architecture documentation.
• Guide project teams on schema design, indexing, partitioning, data access patterns, query optimization, testing, and implementation.
• Partner with IT Governance on metadata, data quality, audit compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Data Architecture team while extending architecture services across Group companies.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data architecture or related roles, including leadership of enterprise initiatives.
• Deep expertise in lakehouse and data mesh patterns, advanced data modeling, data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience designing scalable, high-availability architectures with defined SLAs and developing cloud-based enterprise data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of metadata and master data management, data quality, governance, ETL tools, data standards, automated pipelines, and data security and privacy frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills in agile delivery environments.
