Data Team Lead (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day work of the Data Engineering team, including technical direction, planning, prioritization, and delivery.
• Translate client requirements into technical scope, implementation activities, estimates, and delivery plans.
• Contribute to solution design and work with the Data Architect to ensure scalable, practical implementations.
• Coordinate priorities, ownership, dependencies, risks, and progress across the team.
• Review technical solutions, code changes, database changes, and architectural approaches.
• Collaborate with Backend, AI, QA, DevOps, Product, Architecture, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering, technical leadership, and delivery coordination.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS, including batch processing, object storage, relational databases, messaging, containers, and serverless computing.
• Experience with Apache Spark, SQL, relational databases, and data modelling.
• Experience with Git-based development, code reviews, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with web scraping, web parsing, and Master Data Management.
• Ability to evaluate technical proposals, translate client requirements into delivery plans, and proactively resolve blockers.

• Equivalent experience with other cloud platforms and engineering tools.
