Salary: $165,000–$247,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead facilities engineering, maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure operations across manufacturing, integration, testing, machining, warehousing, laboratory, and office environments.
• Build and scale the Facilities organization by defining its structure, hiring skilled trades, developing leaders, and establishing staffing and shift coverage models.
• Own the reliability of HVAC, process cooling, electrical distribution, compressed air, industrial gases, plumbing, building automation, and fire and life safety systems.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using CMMS platforms, asset management programs, and performance metrics.
• Lead utility expansions, system upgrades, production readiness initiatives, contractors, project execution, and multimillion-dollar capital planning.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Design and Construction, EH&S, Quality, and Supply Chain to support production growth and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, or infrastructure operations, including 5+ years leading managers, supervisors, and skilled trades in a complex manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience building and scaling facilities organizations, staffing strategies, operational processes, and technical leadership teams.
• Strong knowledge of industrial HVAC, electrical distribution, mechanical systems, and manufacturing utilities.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience implementing maintenance and reliability programs, CMMS platforms, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice to have

• Facilities leadership experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Cal/OSHA, NFPA, NFPA 70E, environmental regulations, and industrial safety programs.
• Certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED AP, plus experience with Procore, Smartsheet, or Bluebeam.
• Experience with manufacturing expansion, facility commissioning, utility capacity planning, and infrastructure development.
