Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Siemens Camstar MES)

Location: Suzhou, China; onsite role at the Suzhou factory

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and go-live of Siemens Camstar / Opcenter Execution MES at the Suzhou plant.
• Own MES scope, timelines, budget, delivery quality, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Translate production execution, traceability, quality, WIP, and genealogy processes into MES configurations and workflows.
• Coordinate factory operations, quality, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, business teams, IT, system integrators, and Siemens partners.
• Ensure integrations between MES, shop-floor equipment, ERP, and other plant systems.
• Contribute to global manufacturing systems architecture, factory data integration, and future ERP initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience implementing Siemens Camstar MES in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Strong project coordination, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Chinese is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing ERP implementation projects, including Oracle ERP Cloud or SAP.
• Understanding of MES-ERP integration and manufacturing data flows.
• Experience in multinational organizations with regional or global stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems architecture and cross-factory integration.
