Customer Engineer IV-ETCH (Semiconductor)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite customer and cleanroom work required

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment.
• Use diagnostic techniques and digital analytics to assess and resolve technical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and customers on process flows, equipment roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Communicate directly with customers and travel approximately 20% of the time.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a passport if required for travel.
• Ability to meet onsite safety, environmental, cleanroom, and personal protective equipment requirements.
