Hardware Test Engineer (Robotics AI)

Location: On-site in Toronto GTA, Canada

Salary: CA$155K–CA$175K per year, including base salary and on-target incentives where applicable.

What you will do

• Build automated hardware tests for recording quality, performance, and recovery.
• Test long recording sessions and fault conditions such as power loss, disconnects, full storage, and competing workloads.
• Analyze recorded data for missing frames, timestamp errors, incomplete sensor streams, and corruption.
• Reproduce failures, isolate root causes with engineers, and create repeatable regression tests.
• Define release checks and qualification tests across supported hardware and software configurations.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of strong Python or comparable scripting experience for test automation, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience testing embedded Linux, cameras, robotics, or connected hardware.
• Ability to build and automate physical test fixtures for device control and measurement.
• Practical knowledge of Linux diagnostics, networking, logs, and system performance tools.
• Ability to design repeatable experiments, analyze timing and recorded data, reproduce intermittent faults, and verify fixes under stress.

Nice to have

• Experience with camera pipelines, update fault testing, or continuous integration for hardware.
• Experience with electrical failure analysis, environmental testing, or repair qualification.
