AI Software Development Engineer in Test 2 (AI)

Location: Kamloops, Canada; onsite four days per week

What you will do

• Lead quality assurance and test execution for AI components embedded in hirify.global software.
• Design, develop, and adapt custom AI testing tools and automated QA frameworks.
• Promote modern AI testing tools, best practices, and automation pipelines across the QA organization.
• Implement automated workflows for continuous evaluation and improvement of software release quality.
• Identify and mitigate model bias and risks in AI features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least two years of software QA and test automation experience.
• Hands-on automation experience with Python, C#, or Java and strong QA fundamentals.
• Experience testing embedded AI products or applying concepts such as LLMs, NLP, and machine learning.
• Practical familiarity with Model Context Protocol server environments and agentic AI workflows.
• Ability to build AI agents using diverse AI tools within a QA framework.

Nice to have

• Experience testing embedded AI, chatbots, cloud, or virtualization deployment environments.
• Exposure to performance and security testing.
• Understanding of construction back-office or accounting workflows.
• Familiarity with Jira and global team collaboration.
