Clinical Pharmacist - Part Time Variable Shifts

Location: 10400 Haligus Rd, Huntley, Illinois, United States; onsite hospital position

Salary: USD 58.00–84.10 per hour

What you will do

• Review medication orders for safety, appropriateness, interactions, allergies, duplications, and administration risks.
• Monitor medication therapy, laboratory results, pharmacokinetic parameters, adverse reactions, and therapeutic drug monitoring programs.
• Compound and dispense sterile products, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, and other pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records, patient profiles, medication documentation, controlled inventories, and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Provide medication information and education to patients, families, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in emergency response, formulary management, quality improvement, medication-use reviews, and department operations.

Requirements

• Active clinical pharmacist license in the state of Illinois through IDFPR
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Ability to work 20 hours per week on rotating 8-hour day and evening shifts
• Ability to communicate professional knowledge effectively in oral and written form
• Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacists and direct pharmacy technician activities

Nice to have

• Training or knowledge in neonatology, critical care, oncology, or other specialty areas
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience
