Oncology Infusion Pharmacist - Float

Location: 100% onsite in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, with floating between Weymouth and Brighton locations.

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation, sterile compounding, order verification, and dispensing of oncology medications.
• Dispense chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, investigational medications, and other pharmaceuticals.
• Evaluate medication orders and investigational protocols for completeness and appropriateness, consulting providers and nurses when clarification is needed.
• Perform quality control activities for prepared medications, compounding records, refrigerators, cleanroom hoods, emergency carts, and controlled substances.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and students and support the training and orientation of new pharmacists and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Three years of hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, or sterile compounding experience, or five years of retail pharmacy experience including two years in oncology; completion of a PGY1 residency is also accepted.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; additional licensure may be required for some satellite locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across clinical teams, use pharmacy technology and drug information resources, and apply critical thinking.
• Ability to work rotating shifts; weekend and evening shifts are not required.
