Application Development Engineer II (SQL/ETL)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise software solutions for provider data processes.
• Monitor and support provider directory feeds, credentialing feeds, data quality processes, Medicaid provider registration, and downstream data transmissions.
• Develop enhancements and bug fixes, including efficient code and process flows aligned with engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions that improve reliability, scalability, automation, and data quality.
• Create and evaluate unit and integration tests, technical design documents, support plans, rollback plans, and data migration artifacts.
• Collaborate with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, SMEs, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Remote work based in North Carolina.
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, business, or a related quantitative field, plus 2–4 years of related experience, or equivalent applicable experience.
• Strong application development and data engineering experience, including provider data and provider directory processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/SSIS, Power BI, and SSRS.
• Intermediate knowledge of Snowflake and experience with software development and software design.
• Ability to analyze requirements, assess architectural impacts, estimate work, and follow security and organizational standards.
