Senior Software Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Four days onsite at Seneca One in Buffalo, New York, United States, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week

Salary: $97,100–$161,800 annual USD

What you will do

• Design and develop Python application code, tests, and new platform features.
• Build and support ingestion, transformation, and deployment frameworks.
• Lead junior team members through implementation and drive standardization across Medallion architecture patterns.
• Partner with product teams on performance and resiliency improvements.
• Support production stability, platform governance, and existing applications and users.
• Maintain internal controls and address risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of systems analysis or application development experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of combined education and relevant work experience, including 3 years in systems analysis or application development.
• Advanced proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
• Experience with Python object-oriented programming, PyTest, Pydantic, FastAPI, OAuth 2.0, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, RDBMS, and ETL.
• Ability to work four days onsite in Buffalo, New York, with one remote day per week.
