Software Engineer - Snowflake

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at Seneca One Buffalo and one day working from home each week.

Salary: $80,900–$134,800 annual USD.

What you will do

• Build and support core data ingestion, transformation, and deployment frameworks.
• Develop Python application code and automated tests while supporting existing applications and users.
• Standardize data engineering patterns across the Medallion architecture.
• Partner with product teams on performance and resiliency improvements.
• Support production stability, platform governance, risk controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with at least three years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least five years of combined education and relevant work experience, including one year in systems analysis or application development.
• Professional proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
• Experience with Python and object-oriented programming, Snowflake, SQL, ETL, and data engineering applications.
• Ability to work onsite four days per week in Buffalo, New York.

Nice to have

• PyTest, Pydantic, FastAPI, Databricks, RDBMS, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, and Azure experience.
• Analytical, organizational, communication, time-management, multitasking, and autonomous-working skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.
