VSE (Ion Implant) Installation Customer Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Pyeongtaek, South Korea; on-site work with 75% travel

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer ion implantation equipment alongside senior customer engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate directly with customers and coordinate service activities.
• Work in clean-room environments and comply with safety, environmental, and on-site requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer service, field service, or related technical experience; 2–4 years preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and resolve basic technical issues.
• Basic mechanical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet physical, safety, environmental, and clean-room requirements.
