Clinical Data Architect (HL7 FHIR)

Salary: $119,500–$179,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect FHIR-compliant data models aligned with implementation guides, profiles, and internal standards.
• Design and operationalize data harmonization and enrichment strategies across EHR, HIE, and claims data.
• Develop and maintain scalable FHIR-to-OMOP transformation pipelines using dbt and SQL.
• Standardize clinical data with SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, RxNorm, and custom value sets.
• Build validation frameworks to ensure clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal data integrity.
• Document data design requirements for cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare data architecture or clinical informatics within healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience with OMOP, FHIR R4/R5, HL7 v2, CDA/CCD-A, or NCPDP.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on healthcare data integration experience.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or professional certificate in Clinical Informatics, PharmD, or comparable clinical informatics experience.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience designing or implementing healthcare data architecture and integration solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, independent working, and collaboration skills.
