Medical Assistant, MA (Healthcare)

Location: Findlay, Ohio, United States; onsite at a workplace health center

Salary: $17.60–$22.00 per hour

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and prepare treatment rooms.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and administer medications, including injections, as permitted by state regulations.
• Perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment, and support urgent care visits.
• Assist with front-desk administration, appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, patient outreach, and medical supply orders.
• Support preventive care screenings, flu shot events, and employee wellness initiatives while working with a Nurse Practitioner.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or an accredited Medical Assistant program certificate/diploma and transcripts with a completed hands-on externship.
• Total online Medical Assistant courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Work onsite in Findlay, Ohio.
