Instrumentation Technician - Nights

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite role. The position follows a rotating 12-hour C shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with Monday–Friday administrative hours during the initial 2–6 week onboarding period.

Salary: $71,939.75–$97,330.25 annual base salary, plus a 15% night-shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform calibration of process, utility, and analytical instruments and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair site instrumentation and process control system issues.
• Carry out advanced maintenance and repair for manufacturing, process development laboratory, and quality analytical laboratory equipment.
• Complete work safely and in accordance with procedures, maximizing right-first-time execution.
• Communicate work status to system operators and stakeholders and complete work-order documentation accurately.
• Identify workflow improvements, reduce waste, and support activities outside normal hours when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus one year of instrumentation, calibration, or military experience, or an associate degree.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and provide technical guidance to others.
• Knowledge of process control loops, loop checks, and loop tuning.
• Strong written, verbal, and computer skills, with the ability to collaborate constructively with peers and teams.
• Availability for a rotating 12-hour night shift, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of combined education, training, and instrumentation experience.
• Experience with Maximo CMMS or an equivalent system.
• Experience with Rosemount instrumentation, Foundation Fieldbus communications, and DeltaV process control systems.
• Formal instrumentation education or substantial technical training.
