Set Up Mechanic (Nights)

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States; night shift with possible overtime, weekend, and extended-schedule work.

Salary: $40,000–$66,000 per year

What you will do

• Clean, install, assemble, and disassemble Soft Gel tooling, pumps, cases, and related equipment.
• Steam-clean, rinse, polish, and maintain equipment according to hygienic standards and good manufacturing practices.
• Inspect and test machinery, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform minor mechanical repairs using hand tools.
• Maintain tool, service, cleaning, and calibration records in logbooks and databases.
• Monitor production schedules, ensure tooling and pumps are available, and support equipment changeovers.
• Perform Soft Gel operator duties as needed while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of related experience in Soft Gel operations, tool crib maintenance, or a similar position.
• Mechanical skills for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex precision equipment.
• Experience using standard hand tools, calipers, and micrometers; basic computer skills.
• Fluent English oral, reading, and writing skills for communication, manuals, and maintenance records.
• Work authorization without immigration sponsorship or support is required.
