Intern/Co-op - HES&S Process Safety (Fall 2027)

Location: Findlay, Ohio; on-site 40 hours per week

Salary: $34.15–$43.23 per hour

What you will do

• Support Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan programs, regulatory compliance, and internal and external engineering standards.
• Conduct and coordinate facility siting, Process Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, Management of Change, risk calibration, and mitigation activities.
• Work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve process safety issues and deliver training.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, reporting, and prevention of recurrence.
• Perform or validate process safety leak calculations, analyze metrics and trends, and prepare reports.
• Coordinate process safety audits, assurance activities, regulatory inspections, and enforcement support.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and remaining enrolled throughout the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week in Findlay, Ohio.
• Able to safely climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting and work-related travel.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
