Data Center Engineer I

Location: Columbus, Ohio — 4349 Easton Way, Ste 200

Pay range: $27.02–$48.55 per hour

What you will do

• Install, rack, stack, power, troubleshoot, and decommission enterprise servers, networking devices, monitoring equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Install, label, test, and troubleshoot fiber, copper, and telecommunications cabling.
• Monitor data center equipment, mechanical and electrical plant systems, and security information and event management alerts.
• Respond to incident tickets, complete change requests, schedule maintenance windows, and follow change management requirements.
• Track data center assets, repair parts, cabling, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate vendor access, escort vendors, monitor vendor work, and conduct walkthroughs of mechanical, electrical, and raised-floor areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Equivalent experience or completion of a hirify.global-sponsored emerging talent program may be accepted.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving, Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, and change management.
• Ability to support onsite data center operations in Columbus, Ohio.
