What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement precision mechanical and optomechanical systems for quantum computers.
• Develop CAD workflows and engineering documentation used across the team.
• Take designs from initial concepts through fabrication, assembly, and laboratory testing.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers across hardware, software, lasers, optics, vacuum, and electronics.
• Help build and operate fault-tolerant neutral atom quantum computing systems.

Requirements

• Strong background in mechanical or optomechanical design, CAD, and hands-on hardware development.
• Interest in building a quantum computer.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Availability for onsite work in Pasadena, California.
