Civil Design Technician (Site Design/Municipal)

Location: Grand Island, Nebraska; Kearney, Nebraska; or Lincoln, Nebraska

What you will do

• Prepare planning, preliminary, and construction design documents for site development projects.
• Perform basic computer-aided design operations, including annotation, redline corrections, and plan publishing.
• Use design software to draft plans and incorporate project information into design models.
• Gather data, maintain project files, prepare drawing copies, and document design changes.
• Add content to production sheets, including dimension and layout plans, title sheets, and detail sheets.
• Attend client meetings, support construction observation, and potentially guide less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Associate degree in drafting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently under supervisor or project manager approval.
• Prior drafting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Ability to work on project sites in varied terrain, weather conditions, and construction stages.
