Software Engineer I (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote environment

Salary: $85,600–$128,400 USD per year, plus potential performance-based bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, improve, and maintain back-end services across the technology platform.
• Contribute to a product portfolio built with Java, Docker, Amazon Web Services, and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with business and technical professionals in an Agile framework to design effective technical systems.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, documentation, and implementation of software best practices.
• Continue learning new tools and programming languages through internal training and development resources.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with Java or a similar technology.
• At least 1 year of experience developing systems with Amazon Web Services technologies.
• At least 1 year of experience with test-driven development.
• At least 1 year of experience building RESTful APIs and consuming third-party APIs.
• Experience translating technical issues into implementable requirements for projects from concept through production.
• Experience with Git is preferred.

Nice to have

• ECS or EKS experience.
• Event-driven development and domain-driven design experience.
• Terraform, continuous integration, Kubernetes, and Docker experience.
