Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Worldwide. Work options include fully remote, office-based, or hybrid.

Salary: EUR 1,850–3,350 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs for external partner integrations.
• Build scalable integration solutions with Java and Spring Boot, including authentication, data transformation, validation, and error handling.
• Contribute to microservice-based integration architecture and technical decisions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, exception handling, and reliability mechanisms.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with mobile, QA, DevOps, product, and partner teams.
• Investigate and resolve integration issues, production incidents, and performance problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Java development experience and strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and backend services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Practical experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL, including query optimization.
• Experience with external APIs, REST, JSON, authentication, data mapping, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, clean code, design patterns, testing, and code reviews. English: Intermediate+ or higher.
