Program Manager, Long-Range Missile Program (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite role with travel up to 30% to program and customer sites.

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 base compensation per year, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of the long-range missile program from development through flight test and production transition.
• Manage cost, schedule, performance, milestones, design reviews, test events, and flight test campaigns.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test, operations, Growth, and Mission Delivery teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer contract, cost, schedule, and performance matters.
• Manage budgets, staffing, resource allocation, scope changes, and contract deliverables.
• Lead issue resolution and communicate program progress to customers and company leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent program management experience.
• 8+ years of project or program management experience with complex aerospace or defense development programs.
• Experience leading programs through multiple development phases, including testing.
• Experience working with AFRL, ONR, Army DEVCOM, or program-of-record materiel development organizations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
• Current or recent DoD SECRET clearance and willingness to travel up to 30% are required.

Nice to have

• Program management experience with missile, munition, or other weapon system programs.
• Experience with DoD acquisition processes, contract types, DCMA, DCAA, flight test campaigns, or range coordination.
• Experience with integrated master scheduling and Agile project management using JIRA and Confluence.
• Current or recent DoD TOP SECRET clearance and eligibility for SAP and/or SCI indoctrination.
• Systems engineering, software integration, prime integrator, defense startup, or advanced technical degree experience.
