Architect (Data Centers & Workplace) - Memphis (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Southaven, Mississippi; Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The role requires travel to different locations, site visits, and cross-site collaboration.

What you will do

• Plan, design, and support construction of advanced data centers and AI infrastructure, including high-performance computing facilities.
• Coordinate civil, structural, MEP, fire protection, procurement, and construction disciplines to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient facilities.
• Create Basis of Design documents and RFQ packages, coordinate external consultants and vendors, respond to RFIs, and iterate designs.
• Conduct site assessments, address existing conditions and risks, and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and environmental standards.
• Lead workplace program planning, portfolio management, site selection, lease scenario planning, fit-outs, adaptive reuse, and space optimization across offices, labs, and data centers.
• Manage external architects, engineers, builders, and vendors while overseeing project budgets, financial reporting, procurement, and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; a 10-year professional program is preferred.
• Active architectural licensure in at least one U.S. state is required; California or New York licensure is highly transferable, and NCARB certification is strongly preferred.
• LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainable-design qualification.
• 15+ years of progressive architectural design and project-management experience, including hands-on data center development, site construction, and workplace planning in high-tech environments.
• Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects in fast-scaling organizations such as automotive, technology, or AI infrastructure companies.
• Experience with high-performance computing facilities, design collaboration tools, global portfolio management, or agile project methodologies is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with supercomputer deployments or AI-optimized data centers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Jira, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience delivering flagship technology projects such as headquarters relocations, R&D labs, or wellness centers with integrated data infrastructure.
• Experience with lease scenario planning and collaboration across IT, security, HR, and legal teams.
