Solutions Architect - MFG - West (Manufacturing)

Location: Western Canada, with locations in Calgary and Vancouver; travel to customers in the region up to 30% of the time

Salary: CAD 185,000–225,000 per year, with potential performance bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to develop account strategies and grow platform adoption.
• Establish Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers.
• Build and present reference architectures and demo applications for prospects.
• Advise on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science and machine learning projects.
• Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications while supporting production solutions.
• Promote open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas through developer communities and industry events.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting.
• Expertise in big data engineering, data warehousing and ETL, data science and machine learning, or data applications.
• Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and build stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience designing, presenting, and managing delivery of production data systems.
• Fluency in SQL and database technologies, plus development or debugging experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Ability to travel to customers in the region up to 30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, operations research, or another quantitative discipline.
