Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite at the ISD Office and Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $110,000–$220,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

hirify.global's Philanthropy Engineering team develops cloud-native backend services that support disaster relief, community programs, and other corporate social responsibility initiatives.

What you will do

• Deliver platform capabilities, infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Design scalable and resilient cloud-native systems using microservices, containers, automation, APIs, and cloud databases.
• Build AI-driven applications and integrate machine learning components to improve automation and intelligence.
• Lead system design reviews, validate architectural quality, and translate complex problems into technical requirements.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and improve engineering processes and developer productivity.

Requirements

• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Strong software engineering experience across coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience with API design, prototyping, design patterns, and secure modular software.
• Ability to lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience using data to guide engineering decisions.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
