Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Salary: $91,500–$148,100 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute data analytics strategies for engineering and vehicle products.
• Acquire, process, model, and visualize high-volume, high-dimensional engineering and service data.
• Apply statistics and machine learning to advanced diagnostics, prognostics, preventive maintenance, and intelligent vehicle control.
• Process data in Hadoop Distributed File Systems and analyze telematics, cloud, and vehicle-platform data.
• Collaborate with data science, data engineering, software, engineering, business, and external supplier teams.
• Research cloud-based analytics technologies and support feasibility studies, project estimates, roadmaps, proposals, and funding initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field with at least five years of related experience.
• Experience with statistics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, or machine learning.
• Knowledge of telematics interfaces, Hadoop data systems, and data-processing technologies such as Kafka, Impala, or MapReduce.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and data virtualization tools.
• Programming experience in Python, R, Java, C, or C++.
• Ability to work remotely from Michigan, United States.

Nice to have

• Eight or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, a master's degree with at least five years of experience, or a Ph.D. with at least two years of experience.
• Experience developing intelligent control systems for on- or off-road vehicles and machinery.
• Experience with JMP, SAS, Anaconda, Dataiku, or similar modeling tools.
