Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: US - Foster City, CA; hybrid position with office days determined by the Hiring Manager

Salary: $156,800–$251,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility

What you will do

• Develop and implement advanced data science models, including machine learning, deep learning, recommendation systems, and generative models.
• Lead technical data science teams and provide direction to ensure rigorous project outcomes.
• Manage end-to-end data science projects from planning and scoping through delivery.
• Work with large-scale data sets and distributed systems to build and deploy scalable models.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Translate analytics results into actionable business recommendations and communicate them to senior audiences.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 2 years with an advanced degree, or no experience with a PhD.
• Experience developing advanced data science models and applying machine learning techniques to business problems.
• Experience managing data science projects, extracting and aggregating large-scale data with SQL or similar tools, and creating reproducible analytic pipelines.
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive/SQL, Apache Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and machine learning, deep learning, or LLM technologies.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or R/Python.
• Experience leading project teams, providing technical direction, collaborating cross-functionally, and communicating technical concepts to business audiences.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree or four or more years with an advanced degree.
• Extensive experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages, such as Python, R, and Spark.
• Experience with global organizations and stakeholders across geographies.
• Exposure to financial services or payments.
