Company

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense-tech company developing intelligent systems, including Hivemind autonomy software, V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, and simulation and synthetic reality technologies.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure for mission autonomy and vision systems, including electrical integration, mechanical fixtures, and sensor interfaces.
  • Create and execute integration, regression, and system tests in HIL, SIL, and VIL environments using simulated flight and mission scenarios.
  • Build Python tools for test automation, data collection, analysis, and repeatable validation.
  • Integrate and validate camera pods, gimbals, imaging sensors, onboard processing hardware, and supporting electronics on aircraft and test assets.
  • Diagnose failures using test data and system logs, collaborate with engineering teams on fixes, and maintain accurate hardware, software, and asset records.
  • Support ground and flight tests, customer demonstrations, and field evaluations through setup, configuration, data collection, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; a master's degree without experience; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and testing hardware and software in robotics, small UAS, avionics, vision systems, or related engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in Python, plus familiarity with Linux, software configuration, and basic networking.
  • Practical electrical and mechanical skills, including wiring diagrams, pinouts, digital multimeters, connector inspections, continuity checks, and basic wiring.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HIL, SIL, VIL, simulation environments, or autonomous-system validation.
  • Experience with electro-optical or infrared imaging systems, cameras, gimbals, sensor pods, or onboard image processing.
  • Familiarity with C++, Git, automated regression testing, CI/CD, Ethernet, serial communications, or CAN.
  • Experience with CAD, fixture design, rapid prototyping, oscilloscopes, cable assembly, or harness troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting aircraft integration, field demonstrations, customer deployments, or ground and flight-test campaigns.

Culture & Benefits

  • Regular full-time employees receive benefits, bonus eligibility, and equity.
  • Work spans software, electrical, mechanical, laboratory, field, and flight-test environments.
  • Military fellows and part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
  • Offers are contingent on a cleared background and may include a reference check.
