Salary: $100,800–$138,600 USD base salary annually; total compensation including equity is $110,875–$156,225 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Design, build, operate, and maintain hardware-in-the-loop systems for spacecraft buses.
  • Work hands-on with test and flight hardware and operate launch vehicle simulation platforms for mission day-of-launch operations.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to verify spacecraft bus functionality and performance.
  • Create and maintain system diagrams, schematics, interface control documents, procedures, and test and anomaly reports.
  • Analyze raw test data against pass/fail criteria and troubleshoot anomalies to determine root causes.
  • Operate test equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers, while communicating results to internal teams, vendors, and customers.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, electronics, computer science, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of engineering experience in hardware or software development.
  • Experience with electronics testing and designing and implementing electronics test systems.
  • Ability to work hands-on with test equipment, analyze results, document findings, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PIL/HIL test environments, avionics testing, code verification and validation, or spacecraft systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, RF systems, power systems, PLCs, and relays.
  • Familiarity with RS485/422/232, CAN, LVDS, Ethernet TCP/IP networking, CAD, harness design, and test fixture development.
  • Experience with Python, C++, Linux, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, virtual machines, NX, VeSys, RapidHarness, or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively.
