Derivatives Operations Analyst

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid schedule with office work four days per week and remote work one day per week.

Base salary: USD 80,000–150,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Review broker margin calls, investigate discrepancies, and issue wires for margin and collateral requirements.
• Monitor collateral balances, requirements, and selection across futures, cleared derivatives, and listed options.
• Perform daily reconciliations of holdings, futures trades, collateral, and currency balances across internal and external systems.
• Manage operational relationships with brokers, custodians, clearing houses, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve queries and issues, escalate operational risks, and support accurate trade capture and timely processing.
• Identify automation and workflow improvements, support testing and implementations, and maintain procedures and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• At least 2 years of investment operations experience; exchange-traded and cleared derivatives experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work from the Boston office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of collateral, margin, or other post-trade operational processes.
• Experience with Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
