Financial Consulting Manager - Business Valuation Services

Location: Boston, United States

Salary: $95,400–$192,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.

What you will do

• Lead complex business valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax reporting, transactions, strategic planning, and other advisory purposes.
• Oversee multiple valuation and audit support engagements, including planning workstreams, analysis reviews, technical issue resolution, engagement economics, and status reporting.
• Lead client meetings, information-gathering discussions, valuation analyses, and presentations of supportable conclusions to senior stakeholders.
• Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and staff while delegating work and providing feedback.
• Build client relationships, identify opportunities, support proposals and scoping, and collaborate across service lines.
• Contribute to technical development, recruiting, training, process innovation, quality initiatives, and practice growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of progressive business valuation experience, preferably in a national, global, or highly regarded advisory firm.
• Experience with valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, transaction advisory, and audit support, including business combinations, impairment analyses, stock-based compensation, portfolio valuations, and complex investment positions.
• Professional designation such as ASA, ABV, CPA, or CFA, or substantial progress toward completion, is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
• Ability to travel as needed for client service, team collaboration, and practice development.

• Experience cultivating relationships with clients, referral sources, audit and tax teams, and other stakeholders.
• Experience using automation, data analytics, and generative AI tools to improve quality, efficiency, and insight generation.
