Molecular Genetics Technologist III (Sequencing)

What you will do

• Perform routine, moderate-complexity, and high-complexity molecular laboratory testing with a high degree of independence.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and calibrators, and monitor instrument performance.
• Document test results in LIMS and laboratory records.
• Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, function checks, and preventive maintenance according to SOPs.
• Troubleshoot assay and workflow issues, investigate deviations, and support process improvement.
• Train and mentor new technologists and escalate unusual results or complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related chemical, physical, or biological science field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in regulated clinical laboratory testing environments.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, quality control, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work on-site and handle occasional exposure to blood-borne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.

Nice to have

• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification.
• Experience with workflow troubleshooting, root cause analysis, assay optimization, automation systems, and high-throughput processing.
• Experience with instrument calibration, deviation investigation, reagent QC, process improvement, and method validation.
