Principal Engineer Overlay Development Engineer (Lithography)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Annual salary range: $211,400–$298,440 USD.

What you will do

• Lead scientific research and technical projects focused on lithography overlay control and advanced device architectures.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to meet engineering specifications, applying DOE, SPC, and data analysis.
• Develop customized, cost-effective overlay solutions compatible with hirify.global manufacturing processes and platforms.
• Integrate process steps, ramp technologies to manufacturing volume, and transfer technology using the Copy Exactly Methodology.
• Develop hirify.globallectual property and stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and researchers while leading cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Deep lithography experience, including advanced-node overlay development and overlay mark performance troubleshooting.
• Broad experience in logic technology development, enhancement, customization, and integrated process development.
• Experience co-optimizing process flows and overlay mark design.
• Leadership and communication skills for leading cross-functional teams and explaining complex technical concepts.
• Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on lithography experience; experience requirements vary from 7+ years with a Ph.D. to 12+ years with a bachelor's degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with integrated process change methodologies and overlay impact analysis.
• Direct overlay equipment development and vendor engagement experience.
• Hands-on experience with ASML EUV and DUV scanner platforms.
• Knowledge of lithography equipment operation, automation, process control systems, factory automation, or manufacturing execution systems.
