Manager, Applied AI Architecture, Enterprise Tech (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid attendance in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Hire, manage, coach, and provide technical guidance to a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects.
• Set team goals and performance expectations in partnership with sales and cross-functional leaders.
• Advise strategic enterprise customers on AI adoption strategies, use-case scoping, and proof-of-concept execution.
• Partner with Enterprise Tech sales leadership to increase adoption of Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and the API.
• Work with product and engineering teams to prioritize customer feedback and remove adoption blockers.
• Represent Anthropic in executive customer sessions, technical workshops, conferences, webinars, and technical content.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar pre-sales technical role.
• 3+ years of technical pre-sales management experience.
• Deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases, API integrations, and LLM deployments.
• Strong understanding of LLM architecture and operation, with an active interest in emerging AI research and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, coaching, and executive relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 5+ years leading Solutions Architect teams through hypergrowth, ideally managing teams of 10 to 50+ people.
• Experience managing senior individual contributors and developing junior talent in complex enterprise software sales environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns, including C-level engagement in $10M+ technical evaluations.
• Multi-segment go-to-market experience across commercial customers and Fortune 100 companies.
