Strategic Portfolio Management Analyst (Life Sciences)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 annually, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Support the annual strategy process through situational analysis, priority development, workshops, leadership reviews, and executive-ready materials.
• Build market models, opportunity assessments, financial analyses, investment requirements, growth expectations, and business cases with Finance and business leaders.
• Translate strategic priorities into initiatives with owners, milestones, deliverables, and performance measures.
• Establish Daily Management and recurring reviews to track progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and corrective actions.
• Consolidate product roadmaps, market priorities, investment needs, portfolio risks, and growth opportunities to inform resource allocation and product lifecycle decisions.
• Maintain strategy dashboards, decision frameworks, initiative trackers, and standard work while assessing adjacent markets, business models, partnerships, licensing opportunities, and acquisition targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant life sciences experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in life sciences strategy consulting, strategic portfolio management, business development, market intelligence, or a related analytical role.
• Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills, including structuring ambiguous questions and developing fact-based recommendations.
• Experience with market research, competitive analysis, market sizing, financial analysis, and business-case development.
• Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, communication, and follow-through skills in a global, matrixed organization.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiency, with strong aptitude for relevant AI tools.
