Pharmacy Technician III-OR Pharmacies, Full-time Rotating Shifts

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States. Full-time onsite role in the OR Pharmacies, with possible rotation to other hirify.global pharmacies. Rotating AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays are required.

Salary: USD 23.65–30.43 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare inpatient medication orders, outpatient prescriptions, unit doses, floor stock, and STAT medications.
• Prepare sterile products, IV admixtures, cytotoxic agents, narcotics, and other compounded dosage forms under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter and maintain medication orders, refills, patient profiles, dispensing records, and inventory information in pharmacy systems.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and coordinate intravenous admixture schedules according to patient medical records.
• Maintain emergency medication systems, controlled-substance inventories, emergency carts, and medication reconciliation records.
• Follow aseptic, protective, hazardous-waste, regulatory, quality, and accreditation procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by IDFPR.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or ExCPT through NHA is required for technicians licensed after 2008.
• Newly licensed technicians must obtain certification within two years of the license effective date.
• Ability to work 40 hours weekly on rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
